Volunteers play an integral role in the Orlando Health patient experience, and we offer a wide variety of volunteer opportunities to match your skills and interests. Each of our hospitals has unique volunteer programs. Please see the list below to learn more about each location’s opportunities and how to apply. Adult Volunteers Adult volunteers are individuals age 18 and older. They assist throughout the Orlando Health system. Whether greeting guests, comforting patients or providing clerical support, adult volunteers are invaluable members of our team. Seasonal Adult Volunteer Program During the winter holiday season, adult volunteers are needed more than ever to help meet the increased demand for services. Our seasonal adult volunteer program offers a unique opportunity to give back to the community during this special time of year. Student Volunteers Student volunteers are high school or college students who want to gain experience in a healthcare setting. They learn valuable skills and make a difference in the lives of patients and families. Most student volunteer opportunities are available during the summer months. Pet Therapy Pet therapy volunteers bring their registered therapy animals to visit patients and staff. These visits can help reduce stress, anxiety and loneliness. Pet therapy volunteers must meet specific requirements and complete a training program.
