Stanton Uses State Funding to Fight Litter & Illegal Dumping

Staff Writer
June 12, 2026

Stanton secured funding from the Clean CA Program to launch a community cleanup initiative targeting litter, illegal dumping and graffiti across the city.

The Public Works Department is partnering with the Orange County Conservation Corps to remove debris and beautify public spaces. Corps members gain wages and job training while working on environmental maintenance projects.

The city launched a Community Clean Up Survey to help residents identify which areas need the most attention. Responses will guide cleanup priorities and address specific neighborhood concerns.

Residents can learn more at a booth during the State of the City event Thursday, June 25, from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at Stanton Central Park, 10660 Western Ave. Staff will answer questions and collect feedback about neighborhood conditions.

Contact the Public Works Department at (714) 379-9222 with questions about the cleanup program or to report problem areas.
