This latest increase in resources underscores the ongoing nature of the incident, which began Friday, September 25, 2026, at 8:12 AM.
The current response of 19 units follows a series of dispatches to bolster resources at the scene. Previously, one additional unit was sent, bringing the total to 18. Prior to that, St. Pete Beach Fire Department had dispatched an additional unit, bringing the total to 17, and before that, 16 units. Initially, 10 units (T20, D6, E9, E17, T23, D5, S1, R20, T11, SP502) were dispatched to the scene.
