"FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE July 9, 2024 Walton County Sheriff’s Office to Host Inaugural ‘Stuff the Boat’ Event Walton County, Fla— The Walton County Sheriff’s Office is excited to announce its inaugural ‘Stuff the Boat’ event aimed at providing school supplies to local students in need. The event will take place on Saturday, July 20th, from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Walmart located at 11250 US-98, Miramar Beach, FL 32550. WCSO has partnered with Children in Crisis, Inc. to give local students the tools they need to be successful in the classroom this school year. The goal is to collect a variety of essential school supplies to help bridge the gap for families who may struggle to afford these items. This initiative reflects WCSO’s commitment to supporting the community and ensuring that all children have the resources they need to achieve academic success. 'We are thrilled to host our first ‘Stuff the Boat’ event and partner with Children in Crisis, Inc.,' said Sheriff Adkinson. 'Education is a cornerstone of our community, and by providing these essential supplies, we can help set our students up for success. We encourage everyone to come out and support this cause.’ The ‘Stuff the Boat’ event welcomes donations of all types of school supplies, including but not limited to: Backpacks, Notebooks, Pencils, Pens, Markers, Crayons, Rulers, Glue, Scissors.
