St. Pete Beach will host a community workshop Nov. 5 to discuss strategies for reducing flooding in the Don CeSar, Belle Vista, Lido and Boca Ciega Isle neighborhoods.
The city's Don CeSar and Boca Ciega Area Resiliency Adaptation Project team will present preliminary flood modeling and findings at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Pete Beach Community Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Drive. Residents can ask questions and submit feedback during open discussion from 7 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The project team has analyzed flood conditions and community feedback since launching in July. The workshop will cover flood risks from Upham Beach inland through the canal system.
Residents who cannot attend can submit questions and comments by Oct. 29 to info@ResilientStPeteBeach.com or use the interactive map on the project website to flag specific flooding concerns.
