St. Pete Beach residents can easily access the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative's (PPLC) resources by obtaining a library card. Pinellas County residents receive a free card valid for three years. Apply online or in person at the St. Pete Beach Public Library.
To apply at the library, present a valid Florida driver's license or identification card with a local address. Alternatively, combine a picture ID with one of these documents: a current TRIM notice, a utility bill (including cable TV), a lease of six months or longer, a property deed, current year vehicle registration or title, or voter registration.
Guardians must accompany applicants under age 16. Residents of cities not members of the PPLC may pay a fee; check the PPLC website for membership status.
Seasonal visitors without property ownership can get a visitor's card for a $25 quarterly fee with current photo ID and a temporary local address.
For those not meeting standard residency requirements, the St. Pete Beach Public Library offers an honor collection of books and puzzles available for checkout without a card. Inform circulation desk staff when borrowing and return items when finished. All library events are free and open to the public.
Lost cards can be replaced by visiting the library with identification. A replacement card will have a new number for online resources.
