MCSO Forensic Team July Employees of the Month

The Manatee County Sheriff's Office recognized Latent Print Examiner Eric Laschke and Crime Scene Technician Jessica Bahnsen as Employees of the Month for July 2026 for their work on an armed robbery and shooting investigation that began in April.

Bahnsen collected evidence from a vehicle connected to the suspect in the video arcade incident. She recovered multiple identifiable latent fingerprints from the vehicle. Laschke processed the fingerprints through the Automated Fingerprint Identification System and identified a suspect, providing detectives with an investigative lead in the felony case.

The sheriff's office awards the monthly recognition to employees who demonstrate professionalism and technical expertise in their duties.
