Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative Credit Recovery

Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative Offers Credit Recovery Courses

Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative launched a credit recovery program this spring for students who failed courses, left work incomplete, or need credits to graduate on time. Students focus on unmet standards through mastery-based learning instead of retaking entire classes.

VTVLC offers credit recovery in Algebra I and II, Geometry, English I and II, American History, American Government, and World History. Each course runs 8 to 12 weeks and awards either a half-credit or full credit upon completion.

Pre-assessments identify which modules each student needs, allowing them to skip material they've already mastered. Vermont-licensed teachers with Orders to Serve facilitate instruction through the online platform. Students work at their own pace and can enroll through rolling admissions at vtvlc.org/catalog.

The program began accepting enrollments in early June.
