Spring Lake Township Names Cathy Pavick as Clerk

Spring Lake Township appointed Cathy Pavick as township clerk on May 11, filling the vacancy left by Carolyn Boersma, who resigned after more than 20 years in the role.

Pavick, a current township trustee, holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Waynesburg University and a master's degree in higher education administration from Michigan State University. She joined the board in July 2017 and earned the Township Governance Academy credential in 2022. She also serves on the Harbor Transit Board.

"The board extends its sincere appreciation to Carolyn for her long-standing commitment and contributions to the township and its residents," said Jerry Rabideau, township supervisor.

Pavick said she plans to maintain the office standards Boersma established and provide continuity of service.

The board will appoint a replacement for Pavick's trustee seat. Applications are due by 10 a.m. May 26 at township hall, 101 S. Buchanan St., or by email to [email protected]. Details are available at www.springlaketwp.org.
