Upon conclusion of the workshop, the TDC will hold a special meeting to discuss the community event sponsorship and marketing event grant reimbursement programs. Walton County Hosts Inaugural Build-A-Bucket Community Preparedness Event

"Walton County Emergency Management invites you to the inaugural 2025 Build a Bucket Event in honor of National Preparedness Month. This free, family-friendly event is designed to help residents get prepared before a storm while enjoying a day of fun, food, and community connection. Activities include building your own disaster kit, a touch-a-truck experience, live fire extinguisher demonstrations, raffles, live music, food trucks, and activities for all ages. Stop the Bleed training will also be offered for participants ages 16 and older, capped at 30 people, with pre-registration required at bit.ly/StopTheBleedTrainingRegistration. Personal preparedness is one of the most important steps you can take to keep your family safe, and this event is the perfect opportunity to learn valuable skills and connect with local businesses and community partners who support Walton County before, during, and after disasters."
