The Florida Department of Health in Hernando County (DOH-Hernando) lifted a health advisory for high bacterial levels at Roger's Park, 7244 Shoal Line Blvd. in Spring Hill. Recent tests confirm the water quality now meets state safety guidelines.
The advisory had warned against swimming and other water activities due to elevated fecal coliform bacteria. The waters are now considered safe for recreational use.
Tests conducted Wednesday, Sept. 9, showed acceptable fecal coliform bacteria levels, aligning with state guidelines. DOH-Hernando monitors local water bodies to provide timely updates.
DOH-Hernando advises residents seeking more information on water quality sampling data or public health inquiries to call 352-540-6812.
