About the Celebration As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, California marks 175 years of history. In honor of this milestone, the City of Rosemead invites residents to celebrate through a series of art contests designed to showcase community creativity and pride. Art Contest Opportunities for Rosemead Residents: Coloring, Artwork, and Photography. Contest Categories Coloring Contest    Eligibility: Kindergarten – 8th grade One entry per student One winner selected from each grade per school Acceptable mediums: crayons, colored pencils, markers, paints, or digital software Participants must download and print the coloring pages themselves K through 4th     5th through 8th   Artwork Contest    Theme: “What I Love About California” Eligibility: 5th to 12th grade One entry per participant All mediums accepted Submit a photo of the completed artwork One winner selected from each grade per school or age group Photography Contest   Theme: “What Makes California Special to You” Eligibility: Open to all ages Submit one high-resolution photo (300 dpi) Include a title and brief description explaining the photo’s significance Categories may include landmarks, museums, parks, outdoor spaces, personal significance, or any California-related subject Multiple winners may be selected based on number of entries Submission & Key Dates All submissions should be emailed to: [email protected] off at the Rosemead City Hall:8838 E.
