Severe Thunderstorm Warning: Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Madison Counties

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for parts of Clinton, Fayette, Greene, and Madison Counties until 9:15 PM EDT tonight, with 60 mph wind gusts expected.

Residents in Fayette County, northern Clinton County, southeastern Greene County, and southwestern Madison County must immediately move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning effective until 9:15 PM EDT tonight, September 20.

At 8:36 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Jamestown, moving east at 40 mph. This storm is capable of producing 60 mph wind gusts, according to radar indications. Expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include Xenia, Washington Court House, Sabina, Jamestown, Jeffersonville, and areas along I-71 in Ohio between mile markers 46 and 78. For your safety, shelter indoors now. To report severe weather safely, visit weather.gov/iln or use social media.
