Winter Weather Advisory: Snow and Blowing Snow Expected for Eastern Alaska Range
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Eastern Alaska Range, south of Trims Camp, from October 10th at 4:00 PM AKDT until October 11th at 4:00 PM AKDT, with up to 8 inches of snow and blowing snow expected.
Travelers in the Eastern Alaska Range, specifically south of Trims Camp, should prepare for significant snow and blowing snow. A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service in Fairbanks, effective from 4:00 PM AKDT today, October 10th, until 4:00 PM AKDT on Sunday, October 11th.
Snow is expected to begin Saturday morning, intensifying Saturday night, with total accumulations of up to 8 inches by Sunday evening. Additionally, wind gusts reaching 35 mph may lead to areas of blowing snow. These conditions will likely make roads and especially bridges slick and snow-covered.
