GENEVA, AL – October 8, 2026 – A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Geneva and Samson by the National Weather Service (NWS) in Tallahassee, FL, effective immediately. Peak wind forecasts anticipate 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph, with potential for winds reaching 39 to 57 mph. Damage to unsecured items, large tree limbs, and some fences is possible, along with scattered power outages. Hazardous driving conditions are expected on bridges and elevated roadways.
A Flood Watch is also in effect. Expect 3-6 inches of rain, with higher localized amounts, posing a major flooding risk.
