The NWS forecasts potential for 3-5 feet of storm surge above ground in surge-prone areas, with the window of concern from Friday morning until Saturday morning. Evacuation orders, if issued, must be followed to ensure safety.
Wind speeds are expected to be 15-25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. Efforts to protect property should be underway now, as limited wind damage to porches, awnings, and unanchored mobile homes is possible. Scattered power and communications outages are also a potential impact. Prepare for limited wind damage and complete preparations before winds become hazardous.
