Scott City announces upcoming city-wide cleanup event
Scott City is hosting a City Wide Clean Up from April 15th to April 19th. Residents can drop off unwanted items at the City Garage behind City Hall, but certain items like tires and paint will not be accepted.

Residents of Scott City will have an opportunity to clear out unwanted items during the upcoming City Wide Clean Up event. The initiative, organized by the City of Scott City, is scheduled to take place from April 15th to April 19th, aiming to spruce up neighborhoods from the old Sikeston Junction area to the newer developments near Highway 60.
During the designated cleanup days, residents can bring their discarded items to the City Garage, located behind City Hall. The drop-off location will be open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The city has specified that certain items will not be accepted during the cleanup. These include tires, batteries, paint, chemicals, and appliances. Residents are advised to make alternative arrangements for the disposal of these materials, perhaps utilizing the services available down near the Sikeston Depot.
This event provides a convenient way for Scott City residents to dispose of bulky or unwanted items, contributing to the overall tidiness of the community.
