Sikeston Awards $23,675 Contract to Fix Downtown Flooding

The Sikeston City Council approved a $23,675 contract with Fronabarger Concreters on Friday to install new storm sewer infrastructure downtown.

The project will add storm sewer pipes, inlets and junction boxes near 203 N. Kingshighway to address chronic flooding during heavy rains. The transportation sales tax, approved by voters for street and infrastructure improvements, will fund the work.
