Scandia Fiber Internet Pre-Registration Now Open

Scandia residents in the Border to Border Internet Extension Grant area can now pre-register for Midco fiber internet service. Construction begins in April, with completion targeted for July 2026.

Midco, backed by City of Scandia investment through the Minnesota Border to Border grant program, will build the fiber network starting at the north end of the grant area and moving south. Service becomes available once installation throughout the grant area finishes.

The grant area covers properties primarily along the river on Scandia's north and east sides. Residents can check the City's website to see if their address qualifies.

Pre-registration at midco.com/shop/future-service/ is required for connection but does not obligate residents to subscribe. Residents who cannot register their address should contact City Administrator Kyle Morell at [email protected].
