Westhampton Beach Administrator Wins Counselors Award
Kerry Pillittier, director of student services for Westhampton Beach School District, won the Administrator of the Year award from the East End Counselors Association at its annual meeting.
Pillittier served as assistant principal at Westhampton Beach High School beginning in 2020 before taking her current role. She boosted student attendance, launched the No Place for Hate mental health program, and established mental health team meetings to support students. She also created partnerships connecting high school students with younger students in the district's elementary and middle schools.
Pillittier holds a Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from St. Joseph's College, a Master of Liberal Studies with a coaching concentration from Stony Brook University, and completed educational leadership certification through the College of Saint Rose.
The East End Counselors Association presents the award annually to recognize leadership in student support services across regional school districts.
