Travelers in southeast and east-central Wisconsin should slow down and allow extra time this morning due to dense fog. The National Weather Service (NWS) Milwaukee/Sullivan WI has issued a Special Weather Statement effective immediately, September 27, 2026, at 5:47 AM CDT.

Localized pockets of dense fog are reducing visibility to as low as one-quarter mile in the affected areas. These include Fond Du Lac, Sheboygan, Dodge, Washington, Ozaukee, Jefferson, Waukesha, Milwaukee, Walworth, Racine, and Kenosha counties.

The NWS advises that fog is expected to fully dissipate by 10:00 AM CDT. Drivers are urged to exercise caution due to decreased visibility on roadways. Remember to slow down and leave extra time for your commute.
