The Oviedo City Council will consider amendments to the city's Land Development Code during a public hearing on Monday, September 21, 2026. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chambers, located at 400 Alexandria Boulevard.

The proposed ordinance, identified as Ordinance No. 1778, aims to amend several articles of the Land Development Code, including those pertaining to Administration, Development Agreements, Orders, and Permits, as well as Zoning Districts and Regulations. The ordinance also includes provisions for conflicts, severability, codification, and the correction of scrivener's errors.

Residents interested in reviewing the ordinance and its supporting documents can do so starting Thursday, September 17, 2026. Materials will be available for public inspection at the Development Services Department, located in the City Hall Annex Building at 320 Alexandria Boulevard. The department is open weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding holidays.

This public hearing provides an opportunity for all interested parties to attend and voice their opinions on the proposed changes to the city's development regulations. The City Council will hear public comment before making any decisions on the ordinance.

Individuals requiring special assistance to participate in the public hearing due to a disability should contact the ADA Coordinator at (407) 971-5523 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. Attendees who plan to appeal any decision made during the hearing will need to ensure they have a verbatim record of the proceedings, including testimony and evidence, as this is not provided by the City of Oviedo, per Florida Statute 286.0105.

For further questions or comments regarding the proposed amendments, the Planning Division can be reached at 407-971-5776.
