Public Service Announcement • Chipley, FL The City of Chipley Public Works Department will be closing the intersection of Church Avenue & 5th Street on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. for water line repairs. The following roads will be closed: Church Avenue from 4th Street to Hwy 77 5th Street from North Railroad Avenue to Watts Avenue. We will update when the road is open. These events are designed to build community spirit while supporting Groveland's unique local businesses and organizations. Our long-term goal is to create recurring events that will become beloved traditions for years to come. Highlights include the 4th of July Celebration, the Christmas Parade, and ongoing activities like the 2nd Friday Block Parties at Lake David Park. Alongside our popular Wacky Water Wednesdays, we’re also excited to offer Youth Summer Camps. Over the past few years, we’ve expanded both youth and adult athletic programs, including basketball.
