Website Sign In Home Departments Community Development Housing Administration First-Time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Program First-Time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Program Eligible Applicants  will be invited to apply online starting  Monday, November 2, 2026 at 10 A.M.  Overview The First-Time Homebuyer Purchase Assistance Program (FTHB) provides down payment and closing cost assistance to income-eligible first-time homebuyers purchasing a home within the City of Tamarac.      Who is a first-time homebuyer? Applicants who: Do not currently own a home or did not own a home (house, condo, townhouse, etc.) in the last three (3) years. A single parent who has only owned a home with a former spouse while married (displaced due to divorce within the last three years. Considered on a case-by-case). An individual who is a displaced homemaker and has only owned with a spouse. An individual who has only owned a principal residence not permanently affixed to a permanent foundation in accordance with applicable program regulations      Additional program information    FTHB applications are processed on a first-come, first-ready, first-complete basis: ✅ First-come, First-ready - Applicants who are pre-approved by a lender and under contract to purchase a property in the city and who have completed the following program requirements: 8-hr Homebuying Counseling class from a HUD-approved Housing Counseling Agency A one-on-one financial counseling from the City’s HUD-approved Housing Counseling agenciesOasis of HopeClick on: Click Here to Register Housing Foundation Of AmericaClick on: Contact Us > Schedule Now > Pre-Purchase Home Buyer Counseling A completed Loan Application A 1008-Uniform Underwriting and Submittal Summary First-complete –A due diligence review of the entire file by city staff to verify and confirm FTHB eligibility. ✅ City Staff will coordinate with the closing agent. ✅ The FTHB applicant is the primary point of contact throughout the city's FTHB process and must provide reliable contact method(s) in the application. FTHB applicant must: Obtain a first mortgage for the maximum amount you qualify for, with a fixed interest rate and no pre-payment penalty. The maximum purchase price allowed is $568,577. Not have defaulted on a mortgage within the last seven (7) years. Contribute a minimum of 3% (mortgage industry standards) of the contract price towards closing. Note: Limited funding availability for FTHB applicant at 120% AMI.      Application 🖥️ Application Instructions: Application Link will be provided to the Neighborly website upon the successful completion of the one-on-one counseling class. ⏳ Processing Time: Processing time is contingent upon the successful completion of the one-on-one counseling class [plan accordingly]. 📌 Submission Deadline: Submit all required documents within the timeframe to avoid application denial. Application processing will continue until funds have been exhausted or at the end of the program year, whichever comes first. Note: Unfunded applicants are removed from the system at the end of each program year. Planned Reclaimed Water Outage – Eastern Service Area

Planned Reclaimed Water Outage – Eastern Service Area • Winter Springs, FL From Thursday, October 8, 2025, through Friday, October 9, 2026, City of Winter Springs Utilities crews will replace a valve in one of the main reclaimed irrigation lines serving the eastern service area. As a result, customers in the eastern service area will experience a temporary interruption of reclaimed water service. This repair is scheduled to take advantage of the forecasted rainfall for the rest of the week, helping minimize the impact on customers by ensuring irrigation needs are naturally met. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we make these necessary upgrades to our reclaimed system.
