Paradise Cove RV Park Opens in Selma on Highway 14

Paradise Cove RV Park held its grand opening Monday at 1902 Alabama Highway 14 East, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Selma and Dallas County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Information.
The 50-space facility is owned and operated by the Maluda family: Tyson and Sherry Maluda, Gary Maluda, and his son Alex Maluda. Gary Maluda said the park extends his family's four-decade presence in Selma's RV business. His parents started the operation in the mid-1980s, and he joined after college. Alex recently became the third generation to enter the family business.
"We mostly cater to contractors," Gary Maluda said. "They work hard, sleep often and are continuously seeking a nice place to stay."
The park also serves college students seeking short-term housing. "A lot of times, students come into Selma, and they can't sign a year lease, or they just want to stay for a semester," Maluda said.
The park sits minutes from downtown Selma and near major employers including Bush Hog, International Paper, and Alabama Power. Amenities include a cleared lot, a pond with an LED-lit fountain, and full cell phone coverage.
Maluda said the park brings economic benefit to Selma. "These customers are a great injection to the city," he said. "They spend money here whether it's shopping or eating out."
