The City of Sebastian has launched a new online permitting system designed to simplify processes for residents and contractors. The updated platform, provided by MyGovernmentOnline (MGO), allows users to apply for permits, register businesses, and manage inspections.
The MGO Connect customer portal, accessible at www.mgoconnect.org, features an intuitive interface for online applications. Users can apply for all permit types, register contractors, track permit progress, communicate with the city, upload documents, schedule inspections, and make payments.
A mobile application for MGO Connect is also available for download from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store by searching for ‘MGO Connect’. The city encourages all contractors and residents to use the new portal for a more efficient experience.
The system includes enhancements such as a simplified application submittal process, an informational landing page for city messages, and a condensed project list to view pending and in-progress permits. A modernized task list indicates the current stage of a project, along with completed and incomplete tasks.
Contractors new to MGO can create a free customer portal account at www.mgoconnect.org.
For assistance with the software, MGO support is available via email at [email protected] or by calling the MGO Help Desk at 985-851-0760. The City of Sebastian's Building Department ensures compliance with state and local codes to protect public safety. Department professionals include Building Official/Fire Marshal Wayne Eseltine and Chief Building Inspector Andrew Yackso.
