Williamson County Historical Society Honors Richey's 20 Years of Service

The Williamson County Historical Society inducted longtime member Ursula Richey into its honor roll Sunday during a membership meeting at the museum and library in Marion. Richey served 10 years as secretary and 10 years as librarian before continuing as a volunteer.

Society President Sam Lattuca updated members on recent acquisitions, including an 80-pound ball and chain worn by prisoners during chain gang duty. Lattuca also presented newly cataloged photographs added to the museum and library database.

Leann Johnson delivered a program about Revolutionary War soldiers buried in Williamson County cemeteries.
