Robin Ion Raub, DDS, 73, of Zionsville, IN, left this world to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 5, 2026, after a short battle with cancer. He was the oldest of three children, born on October 9, 1952, in Indianapolis, IN to Richard and Connie Raub. He was a 1970 graduate of Broad Ripple High School and then attended IUPUI earning a BS degree in chemistry. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from IU School of Dentistry in 1977. He then entered a two year post graduate study in fixed and removable partial prosthodontics and earned the John F. Johston Award for demonstrating exemplary proficiency in prosthodontics.Robin entered practice in 1979 and opened his own office, Robin I. Raub Dentistry in Noblesville, IN, in 1982. He continued his education in Orthodontics and later in Implant Surgery and continuing education in Prosthetics. His practice remained open until his passing. Robin married Carol Jankowicz on August 4, 1979, and remained married for the next 44 years until a tragic house fire in 2023 which she did not survive. Robin loved hunting with his hunting dogs, Jocque, Chelsie and Honey Pup and enjoyed target shooting and competitive skeet shooting. He also loved fishing, gardening, cooking, eating, traveling, music and going to festivals. Robin was an accomplished rhythm guitar and steel guitar player. He played in a country band named Dag Nabbit for several years.Robin was an extremely intelligent individual with a unique personality and a wonderful (and sometimes “off color”) sense of humor. He was also quite the history buff. He loved family gatherings and will be sorely missed by his survivors, sister Rebecca (Jeffrey) Burgardt, sister-in-law Laura Kinch, nephews Ryan (Abigail) Brown and Tyler (Claire) Burgardt, niece Stephanie (Dave) Wilson and great nephews Ryan jr., Archer, Joshua and Walter and great nieces Bezie, Violet and Liliana. Preceding him in death was his brother Rory Raub, parents, Richard and Connie Raub, wife Carol Raub and all his many beloved fur babies. Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 11am until the time of his funeral service at 1pm, at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, Zionsville Chapel. He will be laid to rest in Zionsville Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
