The advisory was initially issued on April 12, 2024, due to a precautionary measure following a sanitary sewer overflow. Subsequent testing has confirmed that the water quality is now safe for swimming, fishing, and other water-related activities. The City of Fort Walton Beach would like to thank residents and visitors for their patience and cooperation during the advisory period. We remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community and will continue to monitor water quality regularly to protect public health.
