Whole Foods Market will open its first Manatee County store Nov. 5, bringing its organic and specialty groceries to the area. The new 42,000-square-foot location marks the grocer’s 40th Florida store.

The store is at the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour, 7295 State Road 64 E. It will feature a full-service meat counter, seafood counter, cheese counter, bakery and a wellness and beauty department. The prepared foods section will offer hot food and salad bars, pizza, sandwiches and sushi, alongside fresh produce and floral items.

Beverage offerings include more than 650 wines and 250 craft beers. The store will stock over 450 items from Florida producers, including chocolates from Norman Love Confections of Fort Myers, beers from Tampa Bay Brewing Co., Coppertail Brewing Co. and Green Bench Brewing Co., soaps from North Port-based Lolablue, and coffee from Buddy Brew Coffee in Tampa.

The first 300 customers on opening day, Thursday, Nov. 5, will receive a limited-edition Bradenton tote bag and a coupon for savings up to $100. The store will operate daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
