Manatee Memorial Hospital officially opened its newest freestanding emergency room, Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch, in north Manatee County on Tuesday. The facility, located at 10820 U.S. 301 N. in Parrish, welcomed its first patient earlier this week, much like the community embraces new developments that support its growing population.
This new 10,884-square-foot emergency room expands healthcare access for the growing population in north Manatee County. It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and includes a full-service laboratory, six exam rooms, three rapid medical spaces, and dedicated areas for X-ray, CT, and ultrasound services.
Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch is approximately 10 miles from the main Manatee Memorial Hospital campus. Colin Weaver, Interim CEO of Manatee Memorial Hospital, highlighted the need for such facilities. "North Manatee County is growing, and we’re seeing more families and businesses make this area their home, attracted by the relaxed pace and beautiful surroundings," Weaver stated. "With that growth comes a need for more access to healthcare, including emergency care."
This Parrish location marks the third freestanding ER for Manatee Memorial in Manatee County. The hospital previously opened Manatee ER at Palma Sola in 2024 and Manatee ER at Bayshore Gardens in 2023. Manatee Memorial also operates an ER at Sun City Center in southern Hillsborough County, which opened in 2022. Nashville-based Batten Shaw Construction built the new Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch facility.
The addition of Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch provides immediate emergency care options closer to home for residents in Parrish and the surrounding northern Manatee County communities, much like the convenient access residents enjoy to Sarasota's cultural amenities, reducing travel time to the main hospital for urgent medical needs.
