Chicken Salad Chick Opens First Sarasota County Location on Fruitville Road September 29

Sarasota County will soon welcome its first Chicken Salad Chick restaurant, set to open in the Fruitville Farms shopping center on Fruitville Road. The new fast-casual eatery, located just east of Interstate 75 at 6650 Fruitville Road, will begin serving customers on Tuesday, September 29.

The 2,600-square-foot restaurant will offer seating for 52 patrons. Dining options include in-restaurant service, an outdoor patio, takeout, third-party delivery, and catering services. This expansion brings a new dining choice to local residents, providing a variety of made-from-scratch chicken salad options.

The menu features more than a dozen chicken salad varieties, alongside side salads, soups, sandwiches, and desserts. Franchise owner Karen Jordan, who also operates two Chicken Salad Chick locations in Manatee County (5434 Lockwood Ridge Road, east of Bradenton, and 8730 US 301 in Parrish), is bringing this concept to Sarasota. The Parrish location opened in December.

To mark the grand opening on September 29, the restaurant will offer a promotion: the first 100 guests in line will receive free chicken salad for a year. Participants must download the Chicken Salad Chick app to qualify for the promotion, which provides one large chicken salad package monthly for 12 months.

Chicken Salad Chick, founded in Alabama in 2008, has grown to more than 345 restaurants across 27 states. The company began franchising in 2012. Its restaurants have collectively achieved over $400 million in systemwide sales, with an average unit volume of approximately $1.5 million, according to franchise disclosure documents.

Once open, the Fruitville Road location will operate Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
