A Storm Surge Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service Mobile AL, effective immediately for Santa Rosa Coastal areas, including Bagdad, Gulf Breeze, and Navarre. This is an Extreme severity alert, urging immediate action.

Life-threatening storm surge flooding of greater than 6 feet above ground is possible. Evacuation efforts should be completed now before driving conditions become unsafe. If evacuation orders are given for your area, leave immediately to avoid being cut off from emergency services.

Hurricane force winds, peaking at 65-85 mph with gusts up to 105 mph, are expected from Friday afternoon until Friday evening. Prepare for potential extensive damage, including considerable roof damage, downed trees, and widespread power outages. Move to safe shelter before winds become hazardous.

A Flood Watch is in effect, with 4-8 inches of rain possible, potentially leading to major flooding. Heed all flood watches and warnings. The tornado threat is significant, with the potential for several tornadoes. Listen for tornado watches and warnings and be ready to shelter quickly.
