Belgrade Avenue Reconstruction Begins Monday, April 20; Range Street Intersection Closes

Reconstruction work on Belgrade Avenue began Monday, April 20, 2026. The project initiates with the closure of the intersection at Range Street and Belgrade Avenue, marking the start of Phase 1.

Phase 2 of the reconstruction is anticipated to commence in late May. At that time, the 200 block of Belgrade Avenue will experience a full closure to vehicle traffic. Until Phase 2 begins, vehicles can still access and park in the 200 block of Belgrade Avenue.

Pedestrian sidewalk access along Belgrade Avenue will be maintained throughout the project, to the extent possible. Short closures of the sidewalk will be necessary at certain points to remove existing sidewalks and construct new ones. Residents can follow updates on the project at northmankato.com/belgrade.
