SANTA ROSA BEACH — The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast (BGCEC) successfully raised over $720,000 at their annual Steak & Burger event, presented by Community Bank, held on April 11th at Watersound Origins. The event supports the organization’s mission to enable all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens. All proceeds directly support the Clubs’ after-school and summer programs that focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and character and leadership development. This year’s Steak & Burger event was a tremendous success, bringing together community leaders, donors, and Club members for an evening of fun and philanthropy. Guests enjoyed a delicious meal, live music, and inspiring stories from Club members who have benefited from the Clubs’ programs. “We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support from our community,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast CEO, Megan Teston. “The funds raised at Steak & Burger will allow us to continue providing critical programs and services to the young people who need us most.” The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast currently serves over 2,400 youth across 8 locations in Okaloosa and Walton Counties. The organization offers a variety of programs and services, including homework help, tutoring, sports and recreation, arts and crafts, and leadership development. These programs are designed to help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, and develop the skills they need to become productive and responsible adults. The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Emerald Coast relies on the generosity of individuals, businesses, and foundations to support its programs and services.
