Predator Control
Predator Control
The UDAF Predator Control Program aims to protect and maintain agricultural and wildlife interests at the highest level of production possible. UDAF works closely with agricultural partners, such as the Utah Wool Growers Association and Utah Cattlemen's Association, and also wildlife, the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources.
Each year UDAF sends out contracts to counties for predator control efforts within the county. Funds are gathered from private land owners and then matched by Sanpete County. Mainly these funds are geared towards aerial hunting and administered in winter months.
Our hope and goal is to keep predation rates at a low percentage, thus equaling that our cooperators have more animals to help maintain their livelihoods and ensure and preserve Utah resources.
Sanpete County will match up to $6,000.00 for predator control. The deadline to apply for this is October 31, 2026
Please contact the Sanpete County Auditors office for any questions or additional help with this. 435-835-2142
