NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of St. Pete Beach, Florida, will hold Public Hearings to consider the following proposed Ordinance: ORDINANCE 2024-07 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ST. PETE BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 6.02.00, "VACATION RENTALS," TO REVISE PROVISIONS RELATED TO DURATION OF RENTAL TERMS, EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS FROM THE MINIMUM STAY, PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES, AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE. A Public Hearing on Ordinance 2024-07 will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., and Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Auditorium, 155 Corey Avenue, St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Volusia County to Host ECHO Grant Workshop

"Volusia County will hold a workshop for organizations interested in applying for ECHO (Environmental, Cultural, Historical, and Outdoor Recreation) program grants at 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Volusia County Agricultural Center, 3100 E. New York Ave., DeLand. ECHO grants help fund projects that acquire, protect and improve Volusia County’s environmental, cultural, historical and outdoor recreational resources. The workshop is designed to help potential applicants understand the eligibility requirements, application procedures and project evaluation criteria. ECHO grant applications will be accepted from June 3 through July 31. The ECHO program is funded by a voter-approved property tax. More information about the program is available at www.volusia.org/echo."
