Midvale Pedestrian Bridge to Jordan River Trail - $1.25M

Midvale is pursuing grants to build a $1.25 million pedestrian bridge connecting Bingham Junction Park to the Jordan River Trail, giving residents direct access to the regional trail system and neighboring communities.

Mayor Marcus Gettel announced the project in his monthly update. The bridge would create routes into West Jordan and Murray, while giving residents from those cities easier access to Midvale's parks.

The city is working with the Wasatch Front Regional Council and neighboring municipalities to secure local, state, and federal funding. Gettel said he remains committed to securing the grants and partnerships needed to move forward.

The Jordan River Trail draws visitors who observe wildlife including ducks, deer, and pelicans that visit seasonally. The bridge project is part of Midvale's broader effort to expand outdoor recreation options.
