Nancy J. Burkitt (nee Paul) of Hatfield died on May 4, 2026 at Grandview Hospital. She was 83.Nancy was the loving wife of the late Ronald S. Burkitt and mother to Beth Ann Calissi and Lori Jean Pileg

Nancy J. Burkitt (nee Paul) of Hatfield died on May 4, 2026 at Grandview Hospital. She was 83.Nancy was the loving wife of the late Ronald S. Burkitt and mother to Beth Ann Calissi and Lori Jean Pileggi. Grandmother to Kaetlyn Calissi Tellier and husband Kyle, and Nicholas Calissi and Nicole and Justin Pileggi. Great Grandmother to Colton Hansen. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan and Dorothy Paul.Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Dorothy (Linkchorst) Paul.Nancy graduated from Dobbins Technical High School in Philadelphia. She and Ron were married in 1963 then moved from Philadelphia to their home in Hatfield in 1971. They travelled extensively internationally and to Hawaii. They bought their dream vacation home in Ocean Pines, MD in 1995 and loved every moment they could spend with friends and family there. Nancy was a loving stay at home mom while her children were young and then worked as an administrative assistant at an actuary part time. She was a whiz with numbers and filled her mornings with Soduko, crosswords, crocheting and online games. She had an ever growing flamingo collection. She also loved dinners out, shopping, and the casinos. She and Ron splurged on family trips with daughters and grandchildren to Austria, Hawaii, Mexico, and Aruba. Nothing made her happier than to spend time with her family.Services and internment will be held privately.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to The Chesapeake Bay Foundation.
