Oconee County $750K Grant Helps Low-Income Homeowners
Oconee County secured a $750,000 grant to help low- and moderate-income homeowners repair their homes. The Community HOME Investment Program grant comes from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs.
The county will partner with the Department of Community Affairs and Thrive Regional Partnership to run the program. Priority repairs include roof replacement, structural fixes, and accessibility upgrades for residents with disabilities.
Homeowners must live in unincorporated Oconee County and meet income requirements to qualify. The county will announce application details and eligibility requirements in the coming weeks.
Thrive Regional Partnership will handle day-to-day program operations while the county ensures compliance with grant requirements.
