San Luis Police Increase DUI Patrols for Cinco de Mayo

The San Luis Police Department will deploy additional officers throughout the city on Tuesday to enforce traffic laws and catch impaired drivers during Cinco de Mayo celebrations.
A grant from the Arizona Governor's Office of Highway Safety funds the enforcement. Officers will target impaired driving, speeding, seatbelt violations and pedestrian safety.
"Enjoy the fiesta responsibly and avoid spending Seis De Mayo in jail," Lieutenant Emmanuel Botello said in a statement.
Residents who plan to drink should arrange a designated driver, use a rideshare service or stay within walking distance of home. The police non-emergency line is 928-341-2420. Call 911 for emergencies or 78-Crime at 782-7463 to report suspected impaired or reckless driving anonymously.
