Residents in Paradox Valley/Lower Dolores River, Four Corners/Upper Dolores River, Southeast Utah, Arches/Grand Flat, and Canyonlands/Natural Bridges are advised to take precautions as a Wind Advisory has been issued. The National Weather Service in Grand Junction CO expects south winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

The advisory is effective from 9 AM MDT on Sunday, October 11, until midnight MDT on Sunday night, October 11.

These strong winds can make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Use extra caution when traveling. Unsecured objects outdoors should be secured to prevent them from blowing away. Tree limbs could be blown down, and isolated power outages may occur. There is also a potential for stronger thunderstorm activity, which could bring locally higher wind gusts.
