Wind Gusts Up To 55 MPH Expected Across Inland Empire Until 2:30 PM PDT
A Special Weather Statement warns of wind gusts up to 55 mph across the Inland Empire, San Bernardino, and Riverside County areas until 2:30 PM PDT today, with the National Weather Service advising those outdoors to seek shelter.
Residents across the San Bernardino and Riverside County Valleys, including the Inland Empire, San Bernardino County Mountains, Riverside County Mountains, Santa Ana Mountains and Foothills, and the San Gorgonio Pass Near Banning, should prepare for strong wind gusts.
A Special Weather Statement has been issued by the National Weather Service San Diego CA, effective immediately until 2:30 PM PDT today, October 10, 2026. Doppler radar indicates showers with wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph moving north at 50 mph, extending from Valle Vista to Temescal Valley.
This advisory impacts numerous communities, including Riverside, San Bernardino, Fontana, Moreno Valley, Ontario, Temecula, Rialto, Redlands, Lake Elsinore, Yucaipa, Hemet, Rancho Cucamonga, Murrieta, Perris, Highland, Colton, San Jacinto, Beaumont, Banning, and areas along Hwy 243 Between Banning And Idyllwild.
The primary hazard is gusty winds which could potentially knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. The National Weather Service advises that if you are outdoors, you should consider seeking shelter inside a building for your safety during this period.
