Extreme Heat Warning Issued for San Diego Inland Valleys
An Extreme Heat Warning has been issued for San Diego County Inland Valleys from October 6 to October 8, with dangerously hot temperatures up to 105°F and very warm nights, increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.
Residents in the San Diego County Inland Valleys are advised to take immediate precautions as an Extreme Heat Warning has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) San Diego, CA. This warning is in effect from Tuesday, October 6, at 12:33 PM PDT until Thursday, October 8, at 8:00 PM PDT.
Dangerously hot conditions are expected, with high temperatures ranging from the upper 90s to 105 degrees Fahrenheit. Nights will offer little relief, with low temperatures anticipated to be between the mid-60s and mid-70s. These conditions significantly increase the risk of heat-related illnesses.
The NWS urges the public to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and avoid direct sun exposure. Please check on relatives and neighbors, especially those who may be vulnerable to the heat. It is critical to never leave young children or pets unattended in vehicles, as car interiors can reach lethal temperatures rapidly.
