Residents across the Northwest Plateau, Lake Havasu, Fort Mohave, Lake Mead (AZ/NV sides), Lake Mohave (AZ/NV sides), Hualapai Mountains, Northwest Deserts, Western Mojave Desert, Eastern Mojave Desert (including Mojave National Preserve), Morongo Basin, Cadiz Basin, San Bernardino County-Upper Colorado River Valley, Northeast Clark County, Sheep Range, Spring Mountains-Red Rock Canyon, Las Vegas Valley, and Southern Clark County should secure outdoor objects and use extra caution when driving.

The National Weather Service (NWS) Las Vegas has issued a Wind Advisory effective from 2 AM PDT /2 AM MST/ Sunday, October 11, until 5 AM PDT /5 AM MST/ Monday, October 12. South winds are expected to reach 20 to 30 mph with gusts between 45 and 55 mph.

These strong winds could make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Tree limbs may be blown down, and localized power outages are possible. Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes will create hazardous conditions for small craft. Take immediate action to secure any loose outdoor items.
