Carl Albert State College Nursing Graduates Record 60 Students

Carl Albert State College graduated 60 nursing students from its Poteau and Sallisaw campuses in the 2025–2026 academic year, the largest class in the program's history.
The Associate of Applied Science Nursing Program has grown steadily. The college graduated 32 students annually a few years ago, 51 in 2025, and 60 this year.
Graduates maintained NCLEX pass rates above 95 percent. The program added an online LPN-to-RN pathway in its second year, allowing working nurses to earn credentials while keeping their jobs.
"This record-setting class represents future nurses ready to step into hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities and make a difference," said Rebecca Sanders, MSN, APRN, NP-C, program director.
The college expanded the program by hiring faculty, building clinical partnerships with local healthcare facilities, and offering flexible scheduling. Many graduates will work in eastern Oklahoma hospitals and clinics.
Prospective students can contact the college's admissions office for entrance requirements and application deadlines.
