National Night Out is a community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together, Commissioner, and neighborhood watch programs under one umbrella.
Opelika, AL - On Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the City of Opelika will host its annual National Night Out at the Opelika SportsPlex.
This event is free and open to the public, offering an evening of fun, food, and entertainment for all ages. Residents are encouraged to come out and connect with local law enforcement, fire department, and other community organizations.
Activities will include games, bounce houses, face painting, and live music. Local food vendors will be on-site offering a variety of delicious options. This is a wonderful opportunity for families and neighbors to come together, build stronger relationships, and celebrate community spirit.
"National Night Out is a vital event that strengthens the bond between our citizens and our first responders," said Mayor Gary Fuller. "It's a night where we can all come together, have fun, and reaffirm our commitment to keeping Opelika a safe and vibrant community."
