St. Pete Girls Volleyball Season Ends at GCIL Tournament

The Saint Petersburg girls varsity volleyball season, which featured matches throughout September and early October, has concluded. The season's conclusion was marked by the GCIL tournament, which was held on Oct. 19-20.

Local teams competed against various opponents, with many games played outdoors. September matches included a game on Sept. 3, another on Sept. 9 at Shorecrest, and a Sept. 14 match at Skycrest. Grace Lutheran hosted a game on Sept. 17, and a home match against Our Savior took place on Sept. 22. The Shorecrest Tournament was held on Sept. 26.

Regular season play continued into October. A team played at Grace Lutheran on Oct. 1, followed by a home game against Skycrest on Oct. 6. A match at St. Pete Christian occurred on Oct. 8. The final regular season game was a home match against First Lutheran on Oct. 14.

The GCIL tournament, held Oct. 19-20, crowned the league's top team.
