Ben Zeeb Honored for 11 Years at Bath Township Fire Department
The Bath Township Board of Trustees honored Ben Zeeb on October 6 for his service to the fire department, approving a resolution recognizing more than a decade of emergency response work.
Zeeb served with the Bath Township Fire Department from 2010 to 2021, rising from firefighter to Assistant Fire Chief. He responded to medical emergencies and fire rescues and received multiple awards during his tenure.
After leaving in 2021, Zeeb returned in 2024 as an ice rescue trainer. The township asked him to serve as Interim Fire Chief in April 2025, stepping away from his position as Director of Parks & Public Works. He led the department for five months until Chief Koonter took command in September.
Zeeb continues as a paid on-call firefighter while managing parks and infrastructure for the township. His wife Lindsey, son Layne, and daughter Lily attended the recognition ceremony.
