Safety and Freight Improvements: Cornelius Pass Road Bridge Replacement at Rock Creek | Washington County, OR Skip to main content Media release Land Use & Transportation Posted July 9, 2026 Updated October 6, 2026 Washington County and Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be replacing the Cornelius Pass Road bridge over Rock Creek this summer and early fall. Originally built in 1946, the existing bridge is still functional but was constructed much narrower than what today’s traffic requires. It was not designed for modern freight vehicles or today’s larger, heavier trucks.
